Dear colleagues, alumni, and students,

Founded on July 13, 1995, from the brilliant idea of outstanding founders such as the late Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Dao and Prof. Joseph Massey, along with valuable funding from the Vietnam–USA Peace Fund and the invaluable contributions of the faculty, entrepreneurs, and alumni community, the autonomous HSB model has consistently pioneered the journey of innovation in education in Vietnam. The history of HSB always recognizes the significant contributions of all generations in the process of building, protecting, and sustainably developing HSB in accordance with the philosophy of humanity: “education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world.”

After 0 years of development, HSB has become an internationally reputable educational brand, and even more wonderfully, HSB has truly become our common home and that of more than 13,000 successful and happy alumni—people who live with culture, ethics, ideals, and passion, and who continue every day to learn, work, create, and make positive contributions to the sustainable development of organizations, businesses, and the nation. HSB is the first school in Vietnam with new and interdisciplinary undergraduate programs recognized by universities in the Top 100 worldwide for international credit transfer, such as the University of Queensland, New York University, and Hanyang University.

With three core values—Innovation – Pioneering – Quality—the HSB community and its faculty will continue to innovate boldly and devote themselves wholeheartedly to nurturing the six core values of HSB students: Health – Ethics – Will – Talent – Love – Responsibility. This is also the sacred mission throughout HSB’s long history: to train young talents to become excellent leaders, managers, and executives for both the public and private sectors.

Finally, there is one special thing we always remember whenever we mention HSB: HSB Culture. Environments and jobs may change, but members of the HSB family have been equipped with enough “thinking tools” and “action tools” to remain confident on the journey of seeking meaning in work and in life. Wherever we go, we will always carry in our hearts and memories the beautiful moments of the HSB family, the teacher-student bond, and the spirit of friendship and companionship. Many things may pass, but HSB culture will endure forever. HSB culture is respect for teachers and moral values, a spirit of cooperation and creativity for the community, and a commitment to always stand alongside faculty, students, and alumni.
