Who We Are

Since its establishment in 1995 under Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Hanoi School of Business and Management (HSB) has consistently pursued the vision of becoming a pioneering institution in internationally accredited business and management education and research, while contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam. We strongly believe in the transformative power of management education in shaping responsible leaders for both the public and private sectors. Through an interdisciplinary approach integrating three academic pillars — Management, Security, and Technology — HSB offers a distinctive model of education and research aimed at addressing practical challenges in an increasingly dynamic global context. Today, HSB is recognized as the first public university in Vietnam to have fundamentally accomplished the strategic objectives outlined in Resolution No. 71 on higher education reform. The School has been awarded the QS 5 Stars rating by QS, affirming its position as an outstanding higher education institution and a reputable academic brand in both Vietnam and the international arena. HSB is also a pioneer in developing the new academic school of thought in Management of Non-Traditional Security (MNS), together with a system of innovative, interdisciplinary, and proprietary academic programs. HSB’s academic programs, from bachelor’s to master’s and doctoral levels, have been internationally accredited according to European standards by ACQUIN. In addition, the School has effectively implemented executive education programs and consulting activities for both the public and private sectors. Over more than 30 years of development, HSB has trained more than 20,000 successful alumni, many of whom currently hold key leadership positions in central and local government agencies, ministries, and organizations, while others are prominent entrepreneurs, chairpersons, and CEOs in Vietnam. HSB continuously promotes a culture of innovation, pioneering spirit, and uncompromising quality — equipping learners with leadership capacity, global thinking, and active citizenship in a rapidly changing world.
