Since its founding in 1995 under Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Hanoi School of Business and Management (HSB) has been driven by a bold vision — to build a school of business and management that meets international standards while serving Vietnam’s development. HSB History

Since 1994, when the idea of a novel and cutting-edge business school in Vietnam was still emerging, Professor Joseph A. Massey worked closely with HSB’s founding team. Through collaboration with the Tuck School of Business (Dartmouth), he helped build academic foundations, develop programs, and mobilize international resources. This partnership was exemplified by the IEDP program, which enabled Vietnamese executives to access modern management knowledge and gain practical experience in the United States. These efforts laid the groundwork for a pioneering model that integrates academic rigor, industry engagement, and global integration.
