Government Collaboration

Overview

As a member unit of Vietnam National University Hanoi, HSB plays an advisory and policy research role in support of national development objectives. Faculty members contribute to government-commissioned studies, serve on expert panels, and engage with ministries and public agencies as research and training partners.

These engagements position HSB as a trusted intellectual resource for the Vietnamese public sector — contributing evidence-based analysis on economic policy, security, digital governance, and international integration challenges facing the country.

Policy Advisory

Faculty experts provide advisory support to government agencies on economic regulation, trade policy, financial sector reform, and public administration modernization.

Public Sector Training

Capacity-building programs for civil servants, public managers, and government officials — covering leadership, strategic planning, public finance, and international affairs.

Strategic Research

Government-commissioned and grant-funded research addressing macroeconomic forecasting, sectoral competitiveness, investment environment, and development strategy.

Security & Defense

Cooperation with defense, public security, and national security agencies on non-traditional security analysis, risk modeling, and strategic foresight through HSB's INS institute.

Digital Government

Research and advisory support on e-government transformation, digital public services, open data policy, and the governance of emerging technologies in the public sector.

Research on ASEAN integration, WTO commitments, bilateral trade agreements, and Vietnam's international economic positioning for government planning agencies.

Key Collaboration Highlights

National Economic Policy Research

HSB faculty contribute to nationally significant economic research programs commissioned by government planning bodies, providing evidence-based input into Vietnam's medium and long-term development strategies and sectoral policy frameworks.

NTS Training for Public Sector (INS)

HSB's Institute for Non-Traditional Security Studies delivers specialized training programs for public sector officials on non-traditional security risks — including food security, energy security, and transnational threats — supporting whole-of-government preparedness.
