HSB Welcomes Professor Zhan Jun from Shanghai Maritime University
In the first week of March 2026, the Hanoi School of Business and Management (HSB), VNU, ĐHQGHN, welcomed Professor Zhan Jun from Shanghai Maritime University for academic exchange and collaboration.
Professor Zhan Jun is a distinguished scholar with significant contributions to the fields of Business Administration, Entrepreneurship and Strategy, Service Innovation, Small Business Management, and Business Research Methods. He is also an expert in English-medium instruction (EMI), having led numerous module development projects funded by the Chinese Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal Government. Throughout his academic career, Professor Zhan has published over 80 research papers in domestic and international scientific journals, including many indexed in SCI, SSCI, and CSSCI.
Professor Zhan Jun has signed a cooperation agreement with HSB to collaborate in teaching and academic research activities. During his time at the school, Professor Zhan participated in professional exchanges with faculty members through academic seminars, and directly lectured to students and graduate students in several related modules.
Professor Zhan Jun's participation contributes to strengthening international academic and research cooperation, while expanding learning opportunities and academic exchange for HSB students and faculty.
For postgraduate programs, Professor Zhan participated in teaching and academic exchange with students within the framework of the Scientific Research Methods module. Here, Professor Zhan shared his experience in research design, methodology, and the process of building an MBA thesis according to international academic standards, while also engaging in in-depth discussions with international students of the HSB–MBA program on the direction of thesis development linked to scientific publication. The content focused on identifying research questions, discovering research gaps, building theoretical frameworks, and academic standards in conducting and presenting research results, thereby helping students improve their research and academic writing skills.
Through this cooperation activity, HSB aims to:

  • Expand cooperation with the business community and alumni network
For his part, Professor Zhan Jun expressed his desire to share teaching experience, exchange research ideas, and strengthen academic connections, contributing to promoting educational cooperation between international training institutions.
The event further affirms HSB's orientation in expanding global cooperation, improving training quality, and providing more international learning opportunities for students.
