Master in Management of Non-traditional Security (MNS) is a highly interdisciplinary and pioneering programme in Southeast Asia, focused on nontraditional security challenges and equipping students with governance tools to devise solutions across all security domains.
The programme addresses human security, economic security, financial security, food security, environmental security, and other areas of nontraditional security. Students choose one of three specialisation tracks aligned with their career goals.

Analyse and evaluate interdisciplinary data to inform strategic management decisions; develop policies for preventing and responding to security threats; apply legal and scientific tools to investigate and forecast crises.
Research Skills
Capacity for independent research; proficient use of statistical tools and qualitative/quantitative analysis techniques to carry out scientific projects or specialised theses in nontraditional security.
Transferable Skills
Lead and manage nontraditional security workgroups; communicate, present, and negotiate in multicultural environments; proficiently use specialised software for security management and research.
Autonomy & Accountability
Self-directed professional development and adaptability in highly competitive environments; deliver expert-level conclusions and take responsibility for professional decisions in the field of nontraditional security.

A two-step admission process combining application screening with an in-depth competency assessment.
Academic Background
Bachelor's degree in Security, Law, Management, Economics, IT, or a related field. Applicants from other fields may be required to complete foundational supplementary courses as stipulated by VNU.
Language Proficiency
English certificate equivalent to Level 3 of the Vietnamese 6-level Foreign Language Competency Framework (e.g., IELTS 5.5); or a bachelor's/master's degree completed abroad in English.
Work Experience
Preference is given to applicants with experience in: security, public administration, military, judiciary, corporate, or organisations related to nontraditional security fields.
Students select one of three specialisation tracks (MNS 01 / 02 / 03) — each comprising 5 courses × 3 credits.
Total programme fee: As announced in the annual admissions notice.
Fees not included: application fee; deferral and extension fees; resit, repeat course, and English proficiency test fees (if applicable).
