Overview
Digital Technology and Cybersecurity is HSB's fastest-growing research area, reflecting Vietnam's urgent need to build cyber defense capabilities and advance national digital transformation. The Cybersecurity Department under the Faculty of Non-traditional Security leads research and training in this domain.
HSB strengthens international collaboration in cybersecurity research, integrating security into its interdisciplinary management curriculum. A dedicated cybersecurity training program for government officials and organizations has been launched, addressing the imperative that "Vietnam needs new defensive capabilities" against cyber threats.

Cyber Defense
National cyber defense strategy, protecting critical information infrastructure, and developing cybersecurity incident response capabilities.
Information Security
Personal and organizational data protection, encryption, authentication, and access management in enterprise information systems.
Digital Transformation
Digital transformation processes in enterprises and public organizations, applying emerging technologies to management and operations.
Responsible AI
Responsible and effective use of AI, impact of AI in education, business, and security management — in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University.
Cybercrime Prevention
Studying high-tech crime methods, online fraud, and developing prevention solutions for individuals and organizations.
Engineering Asset Management
Technology asset lifecycle management, system maintenance, and IT investment optimization — in partnership with the international WCEAM conference.
Team & Collaboration
Deputy Head: Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (also Head of Training). The department conducts cybersecurity research and specialized training programs for government officials.
Research collaboration with Dr. Cecilia Chen (Johns Hopkins University) on responsible AI use, and the international WCEAM conference on engineering asset management.
